Key Responsibilies:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for Government IT projects, from iniaon through to closure
  • Liaise with government stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clear communicaon and project alignment
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligaons, compliance standards, and government-specific regulaons
  • Conduct regular project review meengs and report project status to senior management and government ocials
  • Idenfy project risks early and develop appropriate migaon strategies
  • Manage procurement processes, subcontractors, and third-party service providers when necessary
  • Oversee quality assurance acvies and ensure final deliverables meet the governments technical and funconal specificaons
  • Maintain accurate project documentaon, reporng, and records for audits and inspecons
  • Drive connuous improvement and innovaon within project delivery methodologies

Requirements:

  • Educaonal Qualificaon: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informaon Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
  • Cerficaons: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum cerficaons preferred

Experience:

  • 3 years of IT project management experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience managing Government IT projects (State/Central/PSU)

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of soware development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid
  • Familiarity with Government e-Procurement processes, RFPs, E-Governance frameworks, and Compliance (like MeitY guidelines, STQC cerficaons, etc
  • Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project, Jira, Trello, or similar
  • Experience working with central/state government departments, PSUs, or public sector clients
  • Knowledge of Smart Cies, Digital India, e-Governance iniaves, or similar projects
  • Experience managing IT Infrastructure, Soware Development, or System Integraon projects in a government context
