Job Description:

Job Summary

We are looking for an HR Generalist to manage payroll, statutory compliance, employee relations, grievance handling, and recruitment. While the primary focus will be on payroll and compliance, the candidate will also support talent acquisition as needed. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of labor laws, HR policies, and payroll processing to ensure smooth HR operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Handle salary structures, deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS), reimbursements, and full & final settlements.
  • Coordinate with the finance team for payroll processing and tax compliance.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee salary queries.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, ESI, PF, gratuity, and other statutory regulations.
  • Manage statutory filings, audits, and documentation in coordination with regulatory bodies.
  • Keep HR policies updated in compliance with government regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities for compliance-related matters.
  • Address and resolve employee grievances, workplace disputes, and disciplinary issues.
  • Conduct investigations and take necessary corrective actions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through employee relations initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for employees on HR policies and workplace concerns.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment for non-IT roles in production, merchandising, logistics, and sales.
  • Source candidates through job portals, employee referrals, and social media.
  • Conduct screening, interviews, and coordinate hiring processes.
  • Assist in onboarding and induction to ensure smooth integration of new hires.

* Assist in the performance appraisal process, ensuring fair and objective evaluations.*

  • Coordinate goal-setting discussions and performance feedback sessions.
  • Maintain appraisal records, KPI tracking, and performance reports.
  • Identify training needs and assist in organizing training programs for employee development.
  • Support the implementation of performance improvement plans (PIP) for underperformingemployees.
  • Maintain HR records, attendance, leave management, and employee files.
  • Ensure smooth handling of employee onboarding and exit formalities.
  • Prepare HR reports and dashboards for management review.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 4-8 years in payroll, statutory compliance, employee relations, and recruitment
  • Education: MBA/MSW in HR or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, payroll software, and HRMS tools.
  • Good understanding of recruitment processes and candidate sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
