Role Overview

Position: Assistant Business Development Manager (Internship → Full-Time)

As an Assistant BDM, you will be responsible for sourcing and onboarding vendors, managing vendor relationships, ensuring product listings are optimized, and supporting sales growth. This role starts as an internship with a stipend and offers a clear path to full-time employment with salary + incentives based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and onboard a minimum of 5 new vendors per week (via Instagram, Facebook Marketplace, directories, industry groups).
  • Collect product catalogues, pricing, GST details, and negotiate margins.
  • Validate vendors based on reviews, product uniqueness, and delivery capabilities.
  • Manage vendor communications (availability, shipping, returns, new products).
  • Upload product listings with SEO-optimized titles/descriptions on Shopify.
  • Track vendor and product performance using Google Sheets & CRM.
  • Support sales forecasting and participate in bi-weekly performance reviews.

Operational Workflow

  • Vendors are authenticated and documented before onboarding.
  • Payments to vendors are released only after delivery proof is confirmed.
  • Process flow: Customer order → Vendor fulfillment → Shipment tracking → Delivery confirmation → Vendor payment.

Compensation & Growth

  • Internship (first 6 months): Fixed monthly stipend + structured performance reviews.
  • Post-internship (Full-Time):
  • Base salary
  • Performance incentives (vendors onboarded, listing quality, revenue generated)
  • Bonuses for exceeding targets
