​Position Summary

​We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive significant growth by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for our IT services/solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IT landscape, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in strategic sales and client relationship management within the technology sector.

​Key Responsibilities

​1. Strategy and Planning

​Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in target markets.

​Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, new market segments, and potential partnership opportunities.

​Collaborate with senior management to set realistic growth targets and forecast revenue.

​2. Lead Generation and Sales

​Identify and qualify high-potential leads through cold calling, networking, industry events, social selling, and leveraging CRM data.

​Initiate and arrange business meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs and present tailored IT solutions (e.g., custom development, managed services, digital transformation).

​Develop compelling, value-driven business proposals, presentations, and tender responses.

​Lead the negotiation and close deals, ensuring all contracts are aligned with company policies and profitability goals.

​3. Relationship Management

​Build and maintain long-term, strong relationships with new and existing clients and key stakeholders, positioning the company as a trusted IT partner.

​Act as the first point of contact for potential clients and manage the client journey from initial engagement to successful project handoff.

​Nurture strategic partnerships (e.g., technology vendors, channel partners) that drive mutual business growth.

​4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

​Work closely with the Marketing team to align messaging, develop campaigns, and generate high-quality inbound leads.

​Collaborate with the Technical/Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, accurately priced, and that client expectations are met during project execution.

​Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, client information, and sales pipelines in the company's CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

​Required Qualifications

​Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.

​[X+] years of proven experience in business development or a relevant sales role, specifically within the Information Technology (IT) services or solutions industry.

​Demonstrated knowledge of the IT landscape, including concepts like cloud computing, software development lifecycles, cybersecurity, or data analytics.

​Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

​Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics).

​Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)

​Master's degree in a relevant field.

​Experience in selling specific IT services (e.g., SaaS, Mobile App Development, AI/ML solutions).

​Established network of professional contacts in the target industry/geographic region.
