Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced L2 Support Analyst (SQL / Database) to join our team on a 6-month Contract-to-Hire (C2H) engagement. The role involves resolving escalated database issues, optimizing SQL queries, and maintaining data accuracy and performance across systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SQL query analysis, relational databases, and root-cause troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle escalated database issues from L1 support.
  • Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve backend challenges.
  • Monitor and enhance database performance.
  • Document recurring issues, resolutions, and SQL templates.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and validation activities.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and security policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in SQL support or database administration.
  • Strong skills in SQL query writing, joins, subqueries, and indexing.
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to ETL tools and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of query performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud databases (e.g., Azure SQL).
