We are looking for an experienced Import & Export Manager to oversee and manage all international trade operations of the company. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, international logistics, and certification processes. This role demands strong coordination, documentation, and compliance management skills to ensure smooth and timely movement of goods across borders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the complete import and export process, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
  • Prepare, review, and manage all international shipping and customs-related paperwork (invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with international trade laws, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of current import/export laws, tariffs, and trade restrictions.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams for efficient movement of goods.
  • Handle certification processes related to product export/import (such as FSSAI, APEDA, DGFT, ISO, etc.) and manage necessary approvals.
  • Identify and liaise with external agencies or resources to facilitate required certifications and documentation.
  • Monitor shipment status, resolve delays or discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate with transport/logistics partners for cost optimization.
  • Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions and ensure audit compliance.
  • Prepare periodic reports and analyses related to shipments, costs, and process improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
  • 4–5 years of experience in import/export operations, logistics, or customs management. (Mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of customs documentation, international trade regulations, and certification requirements.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office and experience with ERP/logistics management systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments and documents simultaneously.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on compliance and efficiency.

Preferred:

  • Experience in dealing with export/import of electronics.
  • Familiarity with international shipping platforms and digital documentation systems.
  • Knowledge of DGFT procedures, IEC codes, and licensing requirements.
