Role Summary

The Agency Sales Manager will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing a team of insurance advisors/agents to achieve sales targets in line with the company's business objectives. The role involves driving life insurance sales through the agency channel, ensuring high levels of productivity, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  2. Identify and recruit high-quality advisors/agents through various sourcing methods.

  3. Ensure timely licensing, onboarding, and training of new advisors.

  4. Training & Development

  5. Conduct regular training sessions on products, sales techniques, and compliance.

  6. Mentor and motivate advisors to enhance their productivity and career growth.

  7. Sales Management

  8. Drive sales of life insurance products through advisors.

  9. Monitor daily/weekly sales performance and ensure achievement of monthly/quarterly business targets.
  10. Plan and execute local sales promotion activities.

  11. Business Development

  12. Explore and develop new markets to expand business reach.

  13. Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure high persistency and renewals.

  14. Performance Management

  15. Track performance metrics such as premium collected, number of policies sold, and advisor activity.

  16. Take corrective action to improve productivity and achieve branch/region goals.

  17. Compliance & Quality

  18. Ensure adherence to all IRDAI regulations and company policies.

  19. Maintain high standards of business ethics, customer service, and documentation.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Recruitment of quality advisors/agents.
  • Active advisor ratio and retention.
  • Premium collected and number of policies sold.
  • Persistency ratio (renewal business).
  • Training hours delivered to advisors.
  • Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 1–6 years in sales (preferably life insurance, agency sales).
  • Skills & Competencies:
