Job Description

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the production processes of our Temperature & Pressure Gauges Division., ensuring high-quality standards, adherence to timelines, and continuous process improvements while coordinating with design, quality, and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and monitor the production activities in the gauges department.
  • Ensure timely manufacturing of gauges as per customer requirements and project schedules.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards for gauge manufacturing.
  • Monitor and control production costs, minimize wastage, and improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with the design and quality team for new gauge development and inspection requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASME, etc.) and internal quality norms.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for production issues.
  • Supervise machine operations, calibration, and tool maintenance related to gauges.
  • Prepare production reports, documentation, and maintain records for audits.
  • Drive process improvements and implement lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Train and guide shop-floor operators and technicians to enhance skills and productivity.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of gauge manufacturing processes (plug gauges, ring gauges, snap gauges, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CNC/lathe/precision machining for gauges.
  • Proficiency in production planning and process optimization.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and calibration requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate with cross-functional departments.

Qualification & Experience

  • B.tech / BE In Mechanical / Production/ Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in production engineering, preferably in gauges, precision instruments, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Hands On experience in machining, tool design, and measurement instruments.
