Pre-Sales Engineer

About the Role:
At Refold, we're looking for an Engineer who loves solving real-world problems, building integrations that scale, and communicating solutions with clarity.
You'll sit at the intersection of engineering and customer impact, working directly with product teams, translating complex workflows into elegant solutions, and making sure SaaS companies integrate faster, smarter, and more reliably.
This isn't just about writing code. It's about owning problems end-to-end, collaborating deeply, and shipping solutions that matter.
What You'll Do:
- Design and deliver live product demos that clearly showcase Refold's technical capabilities and value.
- Build and customize demo solutions or prototypes, integrating APIs, AI models, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deeply understand technical requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
- Lead proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, managing technical implementation, configuration, and success metrics.
- Act as the technical voice in sales discussions, explaining complex AI and system architecture concepts in clear, practical terms.
- Gather field insights and feed them back into product and engineering to shape roadmap priorities.
- Support RFP/RFI responses and solution documentation as needed.
Must-Haves:
- 5–8 years in a solutions engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting role in a SaaS, data, or AI company.
- Strong hands-on experience with APIs, data integration, or full-stack development , Python, or similar).
- Proven ability to build demo environments, prototypes, or integrations that highlight product value.
- Comfort with AI/ML concepts, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills able to talk to both engineers and business leaders.
- High Ownership mindset, thrives in ambiguity, moves fast, and builds with purpose.
Preferred Plus:
- Experience in AI / LLM-powered product demos or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector database integrations.
- Prior experience working closely with founders, product managers, or enterprise sales teams in early-stage environments.
