Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Agriculture
Department: Sales & Marketing
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Target Management
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
Plan and implement area-specific sales strategies.
Monitor product-wise and region-wise sales performance.
- Dealer & Distribution Management
Appoint and manage a network of dealers and distributors.
Ensure proper stock availability, timely order fulfillment, and collections.
Handle channel partner queries, grievances, and support needs.
- Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Officers / Field Executives.
Assign area-wise targets and monitor performance.
Conduct regular field visits to ensure team productivity.
- Market Development & Farmer Engagement
Conduct farmer meetings, field demonstrations, and Krishi Melas.
Create product awareness and promote best practices in crop management.
Generate leads through local networks and agri-influencers.
- Reporting & Coordination
Maintain accurate reports on sales, collections, and team performance.
Provide regular feedback to the regional office on market trends.
Coordinate with logistics, marketing, and accounts departments.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Agriculture or related field (Agri-Marketing preferred)
Experience: 4–7 years in agricultural input sales (fertilizers, bio-products)
Language: Local language fluency + Basic English/Hindi
Skills: Team leadership, negotiation, territory management, farmer interaction, dealer handling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹35, ₹60,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
