Bakery Chef (Baker)

Role Overview:

Pastry Chef (Pâtissier)

Role Overview:

A Pastry Chef specializes in desserts, pastries, and sweets. They focus on creativity, decoration, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pastries, cakes, tarts, mousses, donuts, cookies, and other desserts.
  • Create and decorate desserts with icing, chocolate, sugar work, and garnishes.
  • Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menus.
  • Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation.
  • Ensure proper storage of creams, fillings, and perishable ingredients.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to support café/restaurant menu.

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in pastry and dessert techniques.
  • Artistic sense for plating and decoration.
  • Knowledge of chocolate, sugar work, and creams.
