Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Operations Manager to take charge of the kitchen's end-to-end functioning. This role involves managing inventory, procurement, manpower, and ensuring hygiene standards are upheld to deliver exceptional quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase, Inventory, Vendor and Store Management:
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the availability of all necessary materials.
- Conduct routine inventory checks to control wastage and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure all items are properly stored, organized, and labeled to maintain quality and safety.
- Responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality raw materials.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective deals and build long-term relationships.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure timely and consistent supply
Team Management:
- Responsible for scheduling, training, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain operational efficiency.
- Address staffing challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure a collaborative work environment.
- Promote adherence to health and safety protocols among team members.
Hygiene and Operations Management:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining strict hygiene practices as per regulatory standards.
- Manage daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
- Address operational issues promptly and develop solutions to improve processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in kitchen operations or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and food safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in vendor and procurement management.
- Familiarity with food safety certifications like HACCP or ISO standards.
