Company Description

Desh Apnayen Sahayog Foundation, founded by Mr. Vallabh Bhanshali and his associates in 2015, aims to co-create Democracy 2.0 by promoting citizenship education, volunteerism, and neighborhood engagement. The foundation offers various programs to schools at no cost, aiming to build accountable citizenry. The Desh Apnayen ACTIZENS' Club helps students develop 21st-century skills and become informed, active citizens. Schools from all boards are invited to form the ACTIZENS' Club to benefit from these initiatives.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Manager – Communications, located in Mumbai. The Manager will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies, crafting and editing high-quality content, managing social media accounts, and maintaining media relations. Additionally, the Manager will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and brand image.

Qualifications

  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including content creation and editing
  • Strategic skills: Ability to develop and execute communication strategies and plans
  • Social media management: Proficiency in managing social media accounts and content
  • Media relations: Experience in maintaining relationships with media outlets and stakeholders
  • Additional skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Relevant qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or a related field
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector is a plus
