ob Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Product Consultant with strong expertise in payment gateway platforms, Banking APIs, and financial technology ecosystems. The selected candidate will lead the requirement gathering, scope definition, and functional design phases of a new application development project focused on building a secure, scalable, and regulatory-compliant payment system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand high-level goals, market needs, and feature expectations for the payment platform.
  • Conduct discovery sessions, user interviews, and requirement workshops to gather detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze and document end-to-end workflows covering:
  • Merchant onboarding
  • Transaction processing
  • Settlement
  • Chargebacks and refunds
  • Reconciliation
  • Reporting
  • Define and document API specifications and integration points with external entities like:
  • Banks
  • Card networks
  • Wallets
  • Fraud prevention tools
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to standards like PCI-DSS, KYC/AML, and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical documentation, including:
  • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
  • Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs)
  • User stories
  • Use cases
  • Process flows
  • Work closely with the UI/UX teams to define user journeys and review functional mockups or wireframes.
  • Define scope boundaries, feature prioritization, and assist in creating MVP vs full product roadmaps.
  • Support the estimation process for development efforts and assist in preparing RFPs, SOWs, and technical proposals as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in Payment Gateway, Fintech, or Transaction-based application domains.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing flows, merchant onboarding, settlement, reconciliation, and PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with API-driven platforms and third-party payment integrations.
  • Solid understanding of security standards and compliance frameworks applicable in financial applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Figma for documentation and collaboration.
