Job Description:

Role DefinitionTo manage and implement HR & Administration functions at the plant level, including employee engagement, statutory compliance, industrial relations, recruitment, training, and performance management, thereby supporting smooth and efficient plant operations.Key

Role and Responsibilities

1. Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage recruitment and onboarding for plant-level roles (staff and workmen).
  • Maintain accurate HR records including attendance, leaves, and employee data.
  • Handle separations, full & final settlements, and exit interviews.

2. Statutory Compliance & Labour Laws

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws (Factories Act, Minimum Wages Act, ESI, PF, etc.).
  • Coordinate with local statutory bodies and handle inspections, audits, and reporting.
  • Maintain updated licenses, RC and ensure timely renewal (CLRA, Factory license, etc.).

3. Industrial Relations (IR)

  • Support a healthy workmen relations climate in the plant.
  • Handle disciplinary cases, grievances, and disciplinary inquiries as per company policy.

4. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Drive employee engagement programs, communication forums, and welfare initiatives.
  • Conduct regular employee connect programs to understand ground-level issues.
  • Work on morale-building and retention strategies for plant employees.

5. Performance Management & Training

  • Support KRA / goal-setting and performance appraisal processes.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate training programs for staff and workers.
  • Monitor skill development and multi-skilling programs on the shop floor.

6. HR Systems & Reporting:

  • Use HRIS/HRMS tools for employee data, reports, and dashboards.
  • Prepare HR metrics and monthly MIS reports for review with Head HR.

7. Administration:

  • Oversee plant facilities including housekeeping, security, transportation, and canteen operations.
  • Manage contracts with service providers (e.g., security, housekeeping, transportation).
  • Ensure safety, hygiene, and environment standards are adhered to.
  • Support coordination for audits – statutory, safety, HR, SEDEX, BRC, etc.
  • Handle guest visits, logistics, and administrative support for plant activities.
