GeM & Government Tender Executive / B2G Business Development Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented GeM & Government Tender Executive to manage end-to-end tendering activities, business development, and client coordination in the B2G segment. The role involves handling GeM and e-Procurement portals, identifying government opportunities, preparing competitive bids, conducting client visits, and driving revenue through successful tender participation. The ideal candidate should be confident in dealing with government departments, skilled in documentation, and capable of independently managing the full tender lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- GeM & e-Procurement Management
- Manage daily tender searches, eligibility assessment, documentation, and bid submissions on GeM, CPPP, and state e-Procurement portals.
- Upload catalogues, update product listings, and ensure compliance with GeM guidelines.
- B2G Business Development
- Identify new government business opportunities through portals, market visits, and procurement announcements.
- Build and maintain relationships with procurement officers, government departments, and institutional buyers.
- Client Meetings & Coordination
- Visit government offices for enquiry follow-ups, product demonstrations, and bid clarifications.
- Represent the company professionally during meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Bid Preparation & Submission
- Prepare technical and financial bids, tender forms, BOQs, quotations, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, legal) to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor tender status, track bid results, handle post-bid queries, and ensure timely follow-up for order conversion.
- Maintain structured records of tender submissions, wins/loss analysis, pricing, and product performance.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all registrations, certificates, declarations, and product documents are updated as per tender requirements.
- Assist in vendor assessments, contract signing, and performance guarantee submissions.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Experience in GeM portal operations, e-tendering, or government sales preferred.
- Strong understanding of tender documentation, compliance, and pricing strategies.
- Good communication skills; comfortable with field visits and government interactions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, GeM, CPPP, and state procurement portals.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
