Job Title: Sales Representative – Government Sector
Location: Ahmedabad
Department: Sales / Government Business
Reports To: Company Director
Job Purpose:
To build and maintain relationships with government departments and public-sector organizations, identify business opportunities, facilitate communication, and ensure successful sales and project execution through effective coordination and compliance with government protocols.
Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development & Sales
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities within government departments and public-sector enterprises.
- Understand government procurement processes, tenders, and bidding procedures.
- Prepare and submit proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Achieve sales targets and ensure consistent revenue growth from government clients.
2. Liaison & Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and government departments.
- Develop strong working relationships with key officials and decision-makers.
- Attend meetings, presentations, and official discussions to represent the company.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up on proposals, tenders, and approvals.
3. Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, legal, logistics, etc.) to meet government requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation such as MoUs, agreements, licenses, and compliance documents.
- Monitor government policies, schemes, tenders, and regulatory updates relevant to the business.
4. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to government regulations, procurement norms, and statutory obligations.
- Prepare periodic reports, sales forecasts, and progress updates.
- Maintain records of communications and project progress for audit and compliance purposes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:Essential:
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Public Administration, Engineering, or related field).
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, government liaison, or business development.
- Knowledge of government procurement/tendering processes (e.g., GeM, e-Tendering).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building ability.
Travel & Fieldwork
- Travel extensively across India to meet government departments and officials.
- Conduct on-site visits, presentations, and follow-ups.
- Manage schedules and plan travel efficiently.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25, ₹50,000.00 per month
