Position: Senior Executive/Assistant Manager - Customer Service and Pricing

Education: Any degree

Years of experience:   6 to 12 years

Department: Pricing/Customer Service

Location: Chennai

CTC: Upto 6.0 LPA

Languages: English, Regional language

Required skills:

  • Candidates should be from Freight Forwarders and traders with good experience in import/export operations, customer service documentation and Pricing.
  • Candidates should have dealt with air and sea, LCL and FCL, import and export.
  • Candidates with CHA experience is added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:

  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing questions regarding shipments, pricing, and logistics.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on shipment status, tracking, and potential delays.

  • Pricing:

  • Develop and manage pricing strategies for freight shipments, considering factors such as mode of transport, distance, and cargo type.

  • Obtain quotes from carriers and negotiate rates to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and invoices for shipments.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of quotes and pricing information.

  • Shipment Management:

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (carriers, customs brokers, etc.) to ensure smooth shipment execution.

  • Prepare and process necessary shipping documents, such as bills of lading and customs declarations.
  • Monitor shipments and track their progress, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners.

  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Overseas Communication with partners.
  • Coordination with staff members and to attend timely delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices. Role & responsibilities
