Summary

The Sales Engineer is a
technical sales specialist
responsible for driving the sale of industrial control, safety, and factory automation components to
OEMs, System Integrators, and End Users
within the assigned territory in Bangalore. This role requires a strong technical aptitude to understand customer applications and propose optimal solutions using SASSY Automation's product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Target Achievement:
    Consistently meet and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the Bangalore territory.
  • Technical Consultation:
    Engage with customers to understand their industrial automation, control, and safety application requirements.
  • Solution Selling:
    Recommend and position specific products from our core brands (Baumer, Schmersal, Omron, P+F, Phoenix Contact, etc.) to provide cost-effective and technically sound solutions.
  • Business Development:
    Identify and qualify new sales opportunities, generating leads from new and existing customer accounts (OEMs, SIs, and End Users).
  • Commercial Management:
    Prepare, present, and negotiate techno-commercial offers, managing the entire sales cycle from inquiry to order finalization and payment collection.
  • Product Expertise:
    Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers on new and existing products.
  • Reporting:
    Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales pipeline, and forecasts using the company's CRM system.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education:
    Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in
    Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering
    .
  • Experience:
    2-4 years of proven experience in
    direct technical sales
    of Industrial Automation products (Sensors, Safety Components, PLC/HMI, Industrial Networking, Controls, etc.).
  • Technical Skills:
    Strong understanding of industrial control principles, knowledge of key components like
    Proximity Sensors, Photoelectric Sensors, Safety Switches, Relays, PLCs, and Industrial Connectors
    .
  • Soft Skills:
    Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, target-driven, and a strong relationship builder.
