With a strong delivery center in Bangalore, India, the organization supports a wide array of technology development, business operations, and client service functions.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Country Manager - India to lead and scale our client's India operations. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and people management across technology and business support functions. This individual will be a critical link between the India team and the US-based leadership, ensuring alignment with global business goals while fostering a strong local culture of performance and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Act as the senior-most leader for India operations; represent the India team to the CEO and executive leadership in the US.
  • Drive strategic planning and execution for India, aligning with global objectives and client delivery standards.
  • Provide oversight and direction across technology delivery, business operations, and administrative functions.
  • People Management:
  • Lead, inspire, and retain a team of 100 professionals across engineering, delivery, and support roles.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruitment strategy, and talent development in collaboration with HR.
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of projects and services from the India center.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, and scalability.
  • Oversee budgets, compliance, vendor relationships, and risk management for the India operations.
  • Commercial Leadership:
  • Drive commercial excellence by optimizing cost structures, improving delivery margins, and ensuring financial performance meets business goals.
  • Collaborate with US leadership on pricing models, contract negotiations, and long-term account planning.
  • Communication & Reporting:
  • Maintain regular cadence with US leadership for updates on performance, risks, and growth plans.

Required Qualifications

  • 14 years of experience in IT services with at least 4 years in a senior leadership or P&L role.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in a mid-sized or fast-growing environment.
  • Strong understanding of offshore delivery models and client expectations in the US market.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, especially across geographies.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in managing budgets, improving margins, and contributing to revenue growth.
  • Experience working closely with US-based founders or executive teams.
