As a Country Manager at Kong, a Gartner-recognized leader in API management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of connectivity in India. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Develop and execute ambitious sales plans to define and expand Kong's market leadership in India. - Lead, mentor, and inspire the regional sales force to exceed performance standards and achieve targets. - Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing sales professionals to cultivate top talent. - Establish cross-functional partnerships with product, marketing, and customer success teams to drive customer success and market growth. - Collaborate with the VP of Sales to co-create and execute a growth strategy, leveraging market insights to unlock new opportunities. - Build strong relationships with key enterprise customers by understanding their challenges and positioning Kong as the essential solution. - Lead contract negotiations and close high-value deals to maximize profitability. - Stay abreast of the competitive landscape to strategically position Kong as a leader in the API and AI solutions space. - Represent Kong at industry conferences and events to drive brand visibility and pipeline growth. You should possess the following qualifications: - At least 10 years of experience in the tech sector with a track record of building high-performance sales teams. - Expertise in field sales, closing high-value SaaS deals, and growing key accounts. - Strong collaboration skills to build effective partnerships with various teams. - A solid understanding of cloud services and the broader technology landscape.
