Qualification: MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent

Reporting to: Joint CEO

About the Role

John Galt International is a National Award-winning, ISO-certified engineering group with businesses in Process Equipment, Defence Systems, and Industrial Products (Zinga & TorcUP).

We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR operations, employee engagement, recruitment coordination, and compliance for both office and factory teams.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding (25 %)

  • Coordinate with hiring managers for staff and factory requirements.
  • Liaise with recruiters / job portals for candidate shortlisting.
  • Schedule interviews, issue offer letters, and complete joining formalities.
  • Maintain employee files and HR database (soft + hard copies).

HR Operations & Compliance (35 %)

  • Manage attendance, leave records, and monthly payroll inputs.
  • Handle PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and Labour Law compliance (through consultant if needed).
  • Coordinate with factory HR assistant for shift attendance and worker records.
  • Support ISO audits and HR policy documentation.

Employee Engagement & Culture (20 %)

  • Plan events and festivals (Diwali, Founders Day, Safety Week etc.).
  • Conduct induction and training sessions for new joiners.
  • Implement reward and recognition initiatives for staff and shop-floor teams.
  • Handle employee queries and grievances with empathy and confidentiality.

Performance & HR Systems (20 %)

  • Maintain monthly performance trackers and probation reviews.
  • Assist management in appraisal cycle and KPI mapping.
  • Prepare HR MIS reports for management review.
  • Drive digitalization of attendance / leave / HR records via Google Workspace or HRMS.

Required Skills & Profile

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in HR generalist function.
  • Solid grasp of statutory compliances (PF, ESIC, Shop & Establishment Act).
  • Comfortable working with multi-location teams (office + factory).
  • Good command over MS Office / Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate should reside within Western suburbs (Bandra – Andheri corridor) for easy connect with factory visits.
