Job Description:

We are having an urgent opening for the position of General Manager HR  for a reputed Company in Infrastructure industry at Gujarat (Ahmedabad) Locations.

The General Manager of Human Resources (GM HR) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire HR department, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, L&D, OD, and programs that support the organization's objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's business goals.
    • Provide guidance and leadership on HR matters to senior management.
    • Lead initiatives to improve organizational performance and employee engagement.

  2. Talent Management:

    • Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
    • Develop retention strategies to ensure high employee satisfaction and low turnover.
    • Implement succession planning and career development programs.

  3. Employee Relations:

    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  4. Performance Management:

    • Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities for managers and employees.
    • Monitor and improve employee performance and productivity.

  5. Compensation and Benefits:

    • Develop competitive compensation and benefits packages.
    • Ensure compliance with local and national compensation regulations.
    • Manage payroll and benefits administration.

  6. Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure all HR activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Develop and implement policies to manage risk and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments of HR practices and policies.

  7. HR Analytics and Reporting:

    • Utilize HR analytics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Prepare and present reports on HR metrics and trends to senior management.
    • Continuously improve HR processes and systems through data-driven insights.
Gender - Male
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and data analytics.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Work Environment:
  • This role typically operates in an office environment but may require occasional travel.
  • The GM HR reports directly to VP HR.
