About the Role
Our client, a newly established B2B SaaS & services startup, is seeking a Sales Director as their first sales hire in India. This is a foundational role where you will work directly with the founders to build and scale the companys revenue engine.
The position will begin as an individual contributor (IC) role, with full ownership of the end-to-end sales cycle lead generation, pitching, negotiation, closures, and account management. Once approximately 30 clients are onboarded, the role will transition into a leadership position, where you will:
- Build and manage a sales team.
- Oversee client delivery and operations.
- Take complete responsibility for P&L / cost center management.
We are looking for immediate joiners based in Bangalore with strong B2B sales experience across SMB and enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and acquire clients in SMB and enterprise segments.
- Manage the complete sales cycle independently from prospecting to closures.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets consistently.
- Build long-term client relationships and ensure retention.
- Work closely with the founders to align sales strategy with company objectives.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
After ~30 clients:
Recruit and lead a team of sales and client delivery professionals.
- Manage customer success and retention strategies.
- Take ownership of the sales unit P&L.
Candidate Requirements
- 1020 years of proven B2B sales experience (SaaS, IT services, consulting, or analytics).
- Strong record of selling to SMB and enterprise clients (India + global markets).
- Ability to operate independently in a startup environment.
- Prior experience in building teams or managing P&L will be a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Must be based in Bangalore and available to join immediately.
