Role Summary
The Payroll Executive is responsible for accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, managing attendance and leave data, ensuring statutory compliance, and maintaining secure payroll records. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and good coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for all employees with accuracy and within timelines.
- Manage and update attendance, shift schedules, leave records, and biometric data in the HRMS.
- Verify daily/weekly/monthly attendance reports and resolve discrepancies with respective departments.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and other applicable laws.
- Prepare payroll reports, salary statements, statutory reports, and monthly MIS for management.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to validate employee data, salary revisions, and deductions.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, attendance, deductions, taxes, and payslips.
- Process full and final settlements including notice pay, leave encashment, and other deductions.
- Ensure confidentiality of payroll data and maintain proper documentation.
- Support internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary records.
- Work efficiently with HRMS and payroll software to ensure smooth operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS).
- Expertise in attendance and leave management systems (biometric, shift rosters, HRMS).
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, HR, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in payroll and attendance management (freshers with good knowledge may also apply).
