We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Plant Head
to lead our
Cold Rolled Grain Oriented (CRGO) steel processing unit
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall management, productivity, and profitability of the plant, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plant Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the CRGO processing plant, including slitting, annealing, coating, and inspection processes.
  • Production Planning & Control:
  • Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery timelines, optimize capacity utilization, and reduce downtime.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure CRGO material meets international quality standards (ASTM/IS/IEC specifications). Implement and monitor robust quality control systems.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce wastage.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the production, maintenance, and quality teams. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Maintenance & Utilities:
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed for all critical equipment such as slitting lines, annealing furnaces, and coating lines.
  • Cost & Inventory Management:
  • Control production costs, manage raw material inventory (CRGO coils), and optimize yield and recovery.
  • Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards as per statutory regulations.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth order execution and timely dispatches. Provide regular MIS reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    B.E./B.Tech in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
  • Experience:
    Minimum
    12–15 years
    in steel processing, with at least
    5 years
    in CRGO industry only
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of CRGO manufacturing and processing techniques.
  • Experience in slitting, annealing, coating, and material testing processes.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC quality systems
