Job Description:

The Business Head will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of an FRP (Fiber-Reinforced Polymer) material manufacturing plant, primarily focused on road construction applications. This role requires strategic leadership to manage production, plant operations, project design, execution, and operational efficiency. The Business Head will play a crucial role in driving business growth while ensuring high-quality output and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Production & Plant Operations:
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring smooth production processes.
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Optimize plant operations by implementing continuous improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Project Design & Execution:
  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of new projects, including production ramp-up for road construction applications.
  • Collaborate with design teams to innovate new FRP products suited for road infrastructure.
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget project execution, and alignment with customer specifications.
Strategic Planning & Leadership:
  • Develop and implement long-term business strategies and operational plans.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within the FRP market, focusing on road construction.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and improve production output.
Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance team across production, design, and project management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the team.
Supply Chain & Resource Management:
  • Oversee procurement, inventory, and logistics to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the availability of raw materials.
Financial & Budget Management:
  • Manage the plant's budget, including capital expenditures, operating costs, and financial forecasts.
  • Implement cost-effective processes and practices to improve profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide timely reports to the executive team.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to build relationships with key clients, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring product quality and project delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events.
Innovation & Quality Control:
  • Stay updated with industry trends and innovations in FRP materials and road construction technologies.
  • Ensure quality control and standards compliance for all products and projects.
  • Drive R&D initiatives for developing new, durable, and sustainable FRP solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • 10+ years of experience in plant management or production leadership, ideally in FRP materials or construction industries.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, operations management, and project management.
  • Proven track record in leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations.
