Dealer - Debt Market (Deal Sourcing Desk)

Location: Mumbai - Goregaon East

Department: Debt Capital Markets - Deal Sourcing

Reports To: Head - Debt Market (Deal Sourcing Desk)

Role Overview:

The Dealer - Deal Sourcing Desk will be responsible for supporting origination of debt mandates by identifying potential issuers, maintaining client relationships, and assisting in structuring financing solutions. The role requires strong market knowledge, analytical ability, and corporate relationship management skills to source and execute debt transactions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and originate debt raising opportunities across corporates, PSUs, NBFCs, banks, and other institutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate treasuries, CFOs, and intermediaries to generate business leads.
  • Assist in preparing financing proposals, term sheets, and presentations for clients.
  • Support mandate negotiation and closure with issuers.
  • Coordinate with placement desk and syndicate team to align origination pipeline with investor appetite.
  • Track market conditions, credit spreads, and sector-specific developments to identify new sourcing opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory frameworks in deal origination.
  • Maintain updated MIS on deal pipeline, client interactions, and market intelligence.
  • Achieve revenue and sourcing targets as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field; MBA/CA/CFA preferred.
  • 3 - 8 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, or Treasury Sales.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed-income products (bonds, NCDs, securitization, structured debt, etc.).
  • Good network with corporates, NBFCs, and financial institutions (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Bloomberg/market data tools.
