Dealer - Debt Market ( Deal Placement Desk )

Location: Mumbai - Goregaon East

Department: Debt Capital Markets - Deal Placement

Reports To: Head - Debt Market (Deal Placement Desk)

Role Overview:

The Dealer Deal Placement Desk will be responsible for distributing and placing fixed-income products with investors, driving subscriptions for debt issuances, and ensuring successful closure of deals. The role demands strong investor relationships, market awareness, and execution skills to achieve placement targets and contribute to revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute placement of bonds, NCDs, securitized instruments, structured debt, and private placements with investors.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with buy-side investors such as mutual funds, insurance companies, pension funds, treasuries, banks, family offices, and HNIs.
  • Assist in book-building processes, investor allocation, and price discovery during issuances.
  • Coordinate with the sourcing/origination desk to align deal structures with investor appetite.
  • Market and pitch debt products to institutional and HNI investors.
  • Track investor demand, liquidity trends, and portfolio preferences to support placement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory guidelines during deal placement.
  • Maintain MIS on investor interactions, pipeline, and placement performance.
  • Achieve revenue, distribution, and placement targets..

Key Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field; MBA/CA/CFA preferred.
  • 3 - 8 years of experience in Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Banking, or Treasury Sales.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed-income products (bonds, NCDs, securitization, structured debt, etc.).
  • Good network with corporates, NBFCs, and financial institutions (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Bloomberg/market data tools.
