Application Specialist – Support

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Corporate IT Team for implementation of business applications.
  • Conduct application testing and prepare detailed test documentation and reports.
  • Provide training to end-users on new and updated applications.
  • Share daily utilization and status reports with the Terminal Head and Corporate IT.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including user manuals and requirement notes.
  • Support application deployment activities and evaluate user feedback.
  • Handle day-to-day user queries and software-related troubleshooting.
  • Create and maintain master data in terminal and rail applications.
  • Manage backups and ensure application data integrity.
  • Develop small utilities or enhancements using .NET and Oracle (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Apply domain understanding related to logistics (preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of SAP processes/master data is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Applications, or related fields.
  • 1–4 years of experience in application support, software testing, or project coordination.
  • Basic understanding of programming (.NET preferred) and Oracle database.
  • Knowledge of APIs and system integration concepts.
  • Strong analytical ability, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of web application lifecycle (design → development → testing → deployment).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, ICD, CFS, or supply chain industries.
  • Exposure to SAP processes and tools.
