Key Responsibilities

  • Create and develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using Creo software.
  • Perform detailed design of sheet metal components including formability, manufacturability, and tolerance analysis.
  • Design and develop casting components with complex geometry, ensuring design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, supply chain) to resolve design challenges.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, tolerance stack-ups, and design validations as per project requirements.
  • Support design modifications, engineering change requests, and continuous product improvements.
  • Maintain design documentation, BOM, and ensure adherence to client standards and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in Creo Parametric (part modeling, assemblies, and detailed drafting).
  • Hands-on experience in Sheet Metal Design – bends, flanges, flat patterns, forming, and weldments.
  • Solid knowledge of Casting Design with complex profiles, shrinkage allowances, and machining considerations.
  • Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering drawing standards (ASME/ISO).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for sheet metal and casting.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Automobile Engineering or related discipline.
