Hardware & Network Engineer

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, install, configure, and maintain high-speed LAN/WAN network infrastructures.
• Manage and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 network switches, routers, and other networking hardware.
• Perform hardware setup, installation, and maintenance (servers, routers, switches, firewalls).
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and apply optimization solutions.
• Implement and enforce network security policies, access control, and firewalls.
• Provide Level 2/3 support and resolve escalated network and hardware issues.
• Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to support hardware lifecycle and upgrades.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware and networking engineering roles.
• Cisco Certified (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) — must be current and valid.
• Strong experience with high-speed enterprise networks, Layer 2/3 switching, and VLAN configuration.
• Proficient with enterprise-grade network devices (Cisco, HP, Juniper, etc.).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), NAT, ACLs, and QoS.
• Familiar with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and networking issues.
