Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager located in Mumbai. The individual in this role will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and assessing client needs to provide appropriate logistics solutions. Daily tasks include negotiating contracts, preparing proposals, and working closely with various departments to ensure client satisfaction. The role requires monitoring market trends, reporting on business activities, and achieving sales targets.

Qualifications

  • Business Development skills: Proven experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and preparing proposals.
  • Client Management skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and assess their logistics needs.
  • Logistics Knowledge: Understanding of freight forwarding, contract logistics, and e-commerce logistics services.
  • Analytical and Reporting skills: Ability to monitor market trends, evaluate business activities, and report on results.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work closely with various departments to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in using digital transformation technologies such as AI and big data is a plus.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in the logistics industry or in a similar role is highly beneficial.
