Job Summery

The General Manager – Quality will lead the overall quality strategy of the organization, ensuring compliance with customer, statutory, and international quality standards. The role focuses on building robust quality systems, driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, and supporting business excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Customer Quality, and Supplier Quality functions.

· Establish, implement, and improve QMS as per IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 /ISO 45001 / VDA 6.3 / TPM requirements.

· Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, TPM).

· Ensure effective APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC implementation.

· Monitor and reduce PPM, COPQ, rejection, rework, and customer complaints.

· Lead internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits.

· Handle customer quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

· Develop and monitor supplier quality performance, including audits and development programs.

· Support new product development (NPD) from quality planning to SOP.

· Build and mentor a strong quality team across plants/functions.

· Collaborate with Production, Engineering, SCM, and Sales teams for quality improvement.

· Ensure compliance with statutory and customer-specific requirements.

· Drive Industry 4.0 quality initiatives (digital QMS, traceability, data-driven quality).

· Compliance with CQI requirements (e.g., CQI-9, CQI-11, CQI-12 ).

Qualification & Experience

· Education: BE / BTech (Mechanical / Production / Industrial)

· Experience: 15–25 years in Quality function within manufacturing

· Minimum 5–8 years in a senior leadership role (AGM / GM level)

· Strong exposure to automotive OEMs / Tier-1 suppliers preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
