About the Role
Businesses that partner with Afterconcepts come in all stages, scales, and sectors, and no single hardware development approach works for all. Your knowledge of product development, paired with sharp communication and problem-solving skills, shapes how new and existing businesses turn ideas into engineered products. Using your relationship-building strengths, you offer client-first service, research, and solution discovery. You anticipate how technical and business decisions are made, proactively uncover client needs, and help them navigate the complexities of bringing hardware products to market. Working with them, you define the vision and the strategy for how their next big idea becomes reality.
Afterconcepts is building its sales team in hardware product development services including industrial design, engineering and complete turnkey solutions. We're looking for a Business Development Executive who can independently drive outbound sales for the international market, build strategic client relationships, and consistently close high-value projects.
This is a hunter role best suited for individuals with a track record of initiating conversations, opening accounts, and managing full-cycle B2B sales in engineering services or related domains. Candidates will work closely with the founding team and technical experts to tailor solutions and win deals.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., CXOs, Product Heads) at target companies.
Research target industries and execute outbound sales strategies to engage North American prospects.
Own and manage the full sales lifecycle: prospecting → discovery → pitching → proposal → close.
Collaborate with design, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on solution architecture.
Use CRM tools to build a pipeline and report outreach metrics, win rates, and revenue forecasts.
Qualifications & Requirements
1+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong preference for outbound/hunting roles.
Prior experience selling hardware product development, industrial design, prototyping, or similar engineering services.
Experience working with or selling into North American markets is highly desirable.
Clear communication, fluent professional English, and ability to understand nuanced product/tech requirements.
CRM fluency (Zoho, pipedrive etc.) and strong data hygiene in sales reporting.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, design, or related field is a plus.
Compensation
Incentives: Accelerated commission structure starting at 3% of closed revenue, no cap.
Performance Bonus: Onboarding Success Bonus upon closing early deals (terms discussed during final interviews)
Work Environment
Hybrid role from New Delhi preferred due to team proximity
Full remote may be considered for highly experienced candidates with proven international market sales track record
