schedulesKey Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production planning strategies aligned with organizational business objectives.
  • Lead long-term and short-term production planning to ensure capacity alignment with business growth.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met in terms of quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Represent the planning function in management and customer review meetings.
  • Prepare and monitor production schedule and detailed shop-floor schedules.
  • Align production requirements with available capacity, manpower, and machine resources.
  • Balance multiple priorities like NPD, regular production, and urgent orders.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure readiness of drawings, BOMs, and process sheets.
  • Work with the purchase/vendor development team to ensure availability of raw materials, bought-out items, and consumables.
  • Drive effective utilization of machines.
  • Track WIP, bottlenecks, and delays; initiate corrective actions to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Review daily/weekly/monthly planning vs actual performance and provide MIS reports to management.
  • Support order prioritization based on customer requirements and business needs.
  • Coordinate third-party inspections and readiness of orders for dispatch.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce lead time, improve OEE, and enhance on-time delivery performance.
  • Benchmark and implement best practices in production and material planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing Planning team.

Preferred Educational Background:

  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering (or related field).

Required Experience:

  • 10–18 years of experience in Production Planning & Control, with at least 5–7 years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in precision engineering, CNC/VMC machining and assembly (Oil & Gas equipment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Familiarity with API, ISO and other Oil & Gas standards.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management ability.
  • Hands-on experience in production planning, scheduling, and capacity analysis.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP and MS Excel.
  • Result-oriented mindset with focus on customer commitments and operational efficiency.
