Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and profitability. The role involves managing staff, maintaining budgets, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and creating a memorable dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily F&B operations across restaurants, bars, room service, and banqueting.
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.
- Maintain high service standards, ensuring guest satisfaction and handling complaints promptly.
- Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and consistency.
Financial & Administrative Duties:
- Prepare and manage department budgets, cost control, and revenue targets.
- Analyze sales data, forecast demand, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor negotiations.
- Monitor waste reduction and cost efficiency in operations.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise F&B team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure ongoing staff development.
- Prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during service hours.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and professional conduct.
Guest Experience:
- Ensure consistent guest satisfaction and personalized service.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a visible presence during service hours to interact with guests.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain compliance with licensing laws and health & safety standards.
- Conduct regular audits of F&B areas for cleanliness and maintenance.
Marketing & Innovation:
- Develop and implement promotions, special events, and menu updates.
- Work closely with the marketing team on campaigns to boost F&B sales.
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Business Administration.
- Minimum 5–10 years of F&B management experience, preferably in a 4–5 star hotel or fine-dining environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in F&B software systems and MS Office.
- In-depth knowledge of food & beverage trends and customer service principles.
