General Duty Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist nursing staff with patient care activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, mobility, and comfort.
  • Help in transporting patients, medical equipment, and samples within departments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in wards, corridors, and patient areas.
  • Change bed linen, prepare rooms for new admissions, and assist in discharges.
  • Support infection control procedures and biomedical waste segregation as per hospital standards.
  • Report patient concerns, unusual behavior, or safety risks promptly to supervisors.
  • Assist during emergencies or code situations by moving patients or bringing equipment.
  • Support administrative tasks or front-desk coordination when required.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Minimum 10th / 12th pass (Higher Secondary).
  • Certification: Completion of a recognized General Duty Assistant / Patient Care / Healthcare Attendant course from a certified institute is mandatory.
  • Experience: 0–2 years of experience in hospitals, nursing homes, or healthcare facilities (freshers with relevant certification are welcome).

  • Physical stamina and ability to work long shifts.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
