We are looking for a resilient, empathic business development executive to contribute to the growth of our company. Business development executives are responsible for finding and retaining clients, encouraging extant clients to purchase new services or features, and remaining abreast of changes in consumption. An outstanding business development executive will keep a close eye on clients' feedback to ensure that our services always exceed expectations.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
Utilize various sources such as online research, social media, industry directories, and networking events to identify potential clients and decision-makers in target industries, including platforms like Upwork, Guru, Freelancer, and others.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments to proactively identify potential business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Initiate and maintain meaningful conversations with potential clients through emails, calls, and networking events. Understand their business needs and pain points, and position our software and services as solutions to address those challenges.
Create and maintain compelling profiles on online marketplaces such as Upwork, Guru, and Freelancer. Bid on relevant projects, draft compelling proposals, and interact with potential clients to win projects and build a positive reputation.
Clearly and effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value propositions of our software and services to potential clients, tailoring your approach to match their specific needs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, nurture leads, and facilitate effective communication between clients and internal teams.
Collaborate with the technical and sales teams to prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and contract terms to potential clients. Participate in negotiation discussions to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
Use CRM systems and other tools to track and manage leads, opportunities, and sales activities. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and progress.
Work towards achieving and exceeding assigned sales targets and quotas, demonstrating a proactive and results-oriented approach.
**Qualifications and Skills Required:**
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
Eagerness to learn about IT software and services, and effectively convey their value to potential clients.
Familiarity with online freelancing platforms like Upwork, Guru, Freelancer, etc.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools is a plus.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
