Position Title: Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in an apparel manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting specific to the apparel industry. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and ensuring the company's compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, etc.).
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data and reports.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to management on business performance and budget variances.
• Cost Accounting:
• Calculate and track the cost of goods sold (COGS), including direct materials, labor, and overhead costs in the apparel manufacturing process.
• Prepare and maintain cost sheets for each product or production run.
• Monitor and analyze inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, ensuring accuracy in valuation.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable:
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of payments and receipts.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts, ensuring accuracy of balances.
• Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain adequate working capital for operations.
• Inventory Management:
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Perform periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliation with financial records.
• Analyze inventory turnover and provide recommendations for inventory control and cost reduction.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
• Compliance & Auditing:
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Prepare for and assist with audits, both internal and external.
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for auditing purposes.
• General Accounting:
• Process general ledger entries, reconcile bank statements, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting activities.
• Maintain accounting controls and documentation in line with company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Experience:
• At least 3-5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the apparel or textile industry.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles specific to manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of financial accounting, cost accounting, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of tax laws, compliance regulations, and manufacturing processes.

Pay: ₹20, ₹40,000.00 per month
