Job Summary

: The Sales Manager (ASM/RSM/TSM) at HSL will lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) to achieve sales targets, market growth, and brand visibility for HSL's homoeopathic products within assigned regions or territories. The role involves strategic planning, team development, and relationship management with key healthcare professionals and distribution networks.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:


• Drive sales performance and ensure achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across assigned regions. 


• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the homoeopathic market. 


• Ensure consistent availability and visibility of HSL products in the market. 

Team Leadership & Management:


• Recruit, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of the field force (Medical Representatives).


• Conduct regular field visits with team members to provide guidance and ensure adherence to sales strategies.


• Organize regular review meetings and implement corrective measures to improve team productivity. 

Strategic Planning & Execution:


• Develop and implement regional sales plans aligned with company objectives. 


• Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast demand and strategize product promotions.


• Coordinate with marketing and product management teams for campaign execution and doctor engagement programs. 

Relationship Management:


• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare practitioners, and major distributors.


• Ensure timely resolution of client or distributor issues to maintain high satisfaction levels. 

Reporting & Compliance: 


• Prepare and submit sales performance reports, competitor analysis, and market feedback to senior management. 


• Ensure all team members comply with company policies, code of conduct, and ethical sales practices. 

Educational Qualifications:

Preferred Degrees:


• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) 


• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) – preferably in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related fields


• Diploma in Homoeopathic Pharmacy (D.H.P.) 


• Master in Business Administration (MBA) – specialization in Marketing or Sales preferred 

Other Qualifications:


• Proven experience in the medical, pharmaceutical, or homoeopathic sector with leadership exposure.

Thorough understanding of homoeopathic formulations, indications, and therapeutic applications. 



Communication Skills

: Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present and influence effectively.


• Selling & Marketing Skills

: Strong negotiation, closing, and brand promotion skills with a result-driven approach.


• Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.


• Self-Confidence & Resilience

: Persistent, motivated, and able to thrive under pressure in a competitive market. 


• Travel & Physical Stamina:

Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions for field visits and reviews.


• Team Building:

Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop a motivated and high-performing sales team.


• Strategy Planning

: Competence in analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and executing structured sales plans. 

Experience:


• TSM: 2–4 years

of experience in pharmaceutical or homoeopathic sales, preferably with team handling exposure. 


• ASM: 5–7 years

of experience with a proven track record in sales management and territory expansion. 


• RSM: 8–10

years of experience in leading large regional teams and executing strategic sales initiatives.
