Experience:

  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or financial advisory
  • Proven track record in executing transactions across M&A, private equity, venture capital, ECM, or DCM
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling, valuation techniques (DCF, comparable, precedent transactions), and deal structuring
  • Independently raise funds (debt, equity, hybrid or other structured products)
  • Hands-on involvement in end-to-end transaction management – including due diligence, negotiations, documentation, and regulatory filings
  • Deep knowledge of closing documentation - founder's agreements, Term Sheet, SHA/SPA/SSA
  • Strong experience in client relationship management and business development
  • Exposure to sector-specific dealmaking in industries such as technology, infrastructure, healthcare, manufacturing, or BFSI (as relevant)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including legal, tax, compliance, and sector specialists
  • Skilled in delivering presentations at conferences and fostering strong relationships with investors and prospective clients
  • Existing and strong network and relationships with investors (tier 1 angels, angel syndicates, small and large VCs, PEs, corporate investors, family offices)
  • Existing and strong network and relationships with startups, founders, accelerators

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of deal collaterals such as Teasers, CIM, Business plans, pitch / discussion decks, financial models and other marketing material for investors, within prescribed timelines and as per required standards of quality & diligence
  • Independently engaging with investors to showcase and explain the deal, follow ups and responding to queries of investors
  • Maintain constant coverage of designated sectors
  • Stay up to date on trends on business models, financials, valuations and transactions in the designated sector, with specific focus on "buy side" research coverage on listed peers in the designated sector
  • Devise and conduct primary research methods while staying informed on market deals, trends, and sentiment
  • Identify promising startup opportunities for exploration
  • Lead end to end execution for transactions
  • Someone who thinks strategically about the organization as a whole and consistently works to enhance processes, boost revenues, and expand the client base

Skills:

  • Self-driven mindset with good communication skills
  • Possesses strong market research skills and experience in conducting business due diligence
  • Financial Modelling & Valuation – DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions
  • Advanced Excel & PowerPoint – For building financial models and pitch decks.
  • Corporate Finance Knowledge – Capital structure, cost of capital, M&A, IPOs, debt/equity instruments
  • Industry Research & Analysis – Sector trends, competitive landscapes, market sizing.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation Basics – Understanding deal terms, covenants, and transaction mechanics. Attention to Detail – Accuracy in numbers and legal language
  • Communication – Clear verbal and written skills for clients and teams
  • Time Management – Handling multiple live deals simultaneously
  • Problem Solving & Adaptability – Dealing with sudden deal changes or market shifts

Qualifications:

  • MBA/ PGDM in Finance/ Strategy from Tier 1 B-schools. Chartered Accountant/ USA CFA charter holders shall be an added advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, commerce, business administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or equivalent is an added advantage
  • Strong academic background with emphasis on corporate finance, accounting, and investment analysis
