GlobalLogic is looking for a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in compute, Cloud services, and Linux system administration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in scripting, automation, cloud security, and network troubleshooting, along with a solid understanding of web technologies and performance monitoring. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are essential for success in this role. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional support, understand customer problems and offer timely solutions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in cloud and system engineering with strong knowledge of compute, virtualization, operating systems, performance, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud core services: Compute Engine, IAM, VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, and Persistent Disks.
- Proficient in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu); familiar with Windows Server.
- Strong grasp of cloud security best practices, including IAM, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Skilled in monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
- Scripting expertise in Bash, Python, and PowerShell for automation and API interactions.
- Experience with automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Cloud Build.
- Solid understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, load balancing).
- Familiar with web protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SSL/TLS) and web troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Job responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot Cloud compute resources, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, Load Balancing, and IAM.
- Perform Linux system administration and develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell; experience with Windows Server is a plus.
- Implement security best practices across cloud infrastructure, focusing on IAM policies, access controls, and vulnerability management.
- Diagnose and resolve performance issues using monitoring/logging tools; troubleshoot network (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP) and web (HTTP/HTTPS, REST, SSL/TLS) issues.
- Utilize tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins for infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
