Hiring a Business Analyst (Sales) to monitor sales data, build crisp dashboards, and stand up scalable systems— including implementing and operationalising a CRM from scratch.

Objectives

  • Continuously track funnel health and sales performance with a standardised reporting cadence.
  • Create and maintain robust Excel dashboards and trackers for pipeline, conversions, and rep productivity.
  • Implement and operationalise a CRM from the ground up, including fields, pipelines, automations, and governance.

Key responsibilities

  • Build daily/weekly dashboard packs in Excel (Pivots, Power Query, LOOKUP, cohort and trend views) for leadership and frontline teams.
  • Define data models, data hygiene rules, and exception reports to keep sales data accurate and actionable.
  • Stand up the CRM: design scheme, pipelines, custom fields, workflows, integrations (telephony/email), and reporting.
  • Map and standardise sales processes (lead intake to closure), set SLAs, and establish operating cadences.
  • Run pipeline reviews, publish concise insights, and translate findings into clear actions for the sales team.
  • Create SOPs and train sales reps to adopt dashboards, CRM workflows, and process updates.

Must-have qualifications

  • 1–5 years in sales analytics, sales ops, or business analyst roles in sales-led environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, advanced formulas; VBA a plus).
  • Hands-on CRM experience; capable of greenfield implementation and scaling (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshsales).
  • Experience working directly with sales teams and excellent communication skills.
