Role:

We are hiring for Core Underwriters in Pune with up to 4+years of experience in core underwriting.

The role involves live underwriting origination and review, focusing on 4 C's knowledge, income calculations, and making decisions on loan approvals.

Candidates must take ownership of mortgage applications from submission to offer, providing a seamless service to brokers and partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and screening residential owner-occupied and buy-to-let mortgage applications
  • Anticipating underwriter needs by assessing application risks and ensuring compliance with lending policies
  • Ensuring data quality by identifying and correcting inaccuracies in customer information, property portfolios, and financial documentation
  • Handling income evidence, customer due diligence, buy-to-let portfolios, credit reports, and other necessary documentation
  • Applying bank policies for documentation, case setup, and mortgage valuation requirements
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures for assessing mortgage valuations and post-offer documents
