Key Responsibilities:

Supervising daily operations of the robotic paint shop, managing primer, topcoat, and finish processes.

Ensuring optimal performance of robotic painting equipment such as ABB, FANUC, or similar brands.

Leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs for paint robots and conveyor systems.

Monitoring paint consumption, quality metrics (DFT, gloss, adhesion, etc.), and cycle times.

Implementing lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S practices for continuous improvement.

Coordinating with R&D, Quality, and Production teams for new product introductions (NPIs) and color developments.

Troubleshooting paint defects like sagging, orange peel, fisheye, etc., and ensuring root cause resolution.

Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, including VOC emissions and waste disposal norms.

Leading and training a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators for skill enhancement.

Preparing and managing budgets related to paint shop operations and CAPEX for new robotic systems.

Preferred candidate profile

B.Tech with 10-12 years of experience or Diploma with 12-15 years of experience in Mechanical/Production.

Working experience in Bus/Truck/LCV/Large Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of robotic paint systems such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, PLCs, and automation controls.

Expertise in paint chemistry and surface preparation.

Analytical and problem-solving mindset for defect analysis.

Good leadership and communication skills.

Knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, IATF, and EMS norms.
