Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious
Business Development Associate (Commercial Lines)
to support our B2B insurance portfolio. This role involves engaging with corporates, startups, and SMEs, understanding their risk needs, and assisting in providing the right insurance solutions.
The ideal candidate could be:
- A
fresher
with a strong interest in business insurance and client advisory, or - A
corporate sales professional
(from BFSI, SaaS, consulting, or fintech) looking to transition into
commercial insurance
.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and managing corporate client relationships (SMEs, startups, mid-market companies).
- Understand client requirements and identify
commercial risk exposures
. - Support in recommending suitable commercial insurance products such as:
- Fire & Property Insurance
- Group Health & Employee Benefits
- Marine & Transit Insurance
- Directors & Officers (D&O) Liability
- Cyber Insurance
- General Liability / Professional Indemnity
- Use Sanctuari's AI-driven platform to support risk assessment, quoting, and client onboarding.
- Coordinate with insurers and underwriters to gather quotations and structure proposals.
- Handle sales support tasks including lead follow-ups, proposal preparation, and servicing.
- Educate clients on the platform and maintain strong post-sale relationships.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience:
0–2 years in insurance sales / commercial lines / B2B corporate sales. Candidates from broking firms (Marsh, Aon, Howden, Gallagher, Prudent, etc.) or BFSI/consulting backgrounds preferred. - Knowledge:
Exposure to or interest in
commercial insurance lines
(property, liability, marine, employee benefits, cyber, etc.). - Learning Mindset:
Willing to build a career in commercial insurance and InsurTech. - Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable with CRM systems, Excel, and digital platforms. - Communication:
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and client engagement skills. - Location:
Mumbai-based or willing to relocate.
