Job Description
The Operations Head oversees all facets of operational processes within the diamond industry, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability. This role involves managing production, supply chain, quality control, and workforce to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The position requires strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a strong understanding of diamond manufacturing and trading.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production, quality, and delivery timelines.
Align operational goals with organizational objectives to enhance efficiency and profitability.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
Oversee diamond cutting, polishing, and grading processes, ensuring adherence to international standards.
Collaborate with the Quality Control team to maintain stringent quality benchmarks.
Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team, including production managers, QC specialists, and logistics personnel.
Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and technological advancements.
Evaluate competitors' practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Gemology.
years of experience in operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the diamond or jewellery industry.
