Team Lead – MCC and Outstations Maintenance

At SolitAir, we are committed to redefining the cargo aviation landscape through safety, reliability, and innovation. Our Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) in Mumbai plays a pivotal role in ensuring the technical integrity of our fleet. We are seeking a seasoned aviation maintenance professional to lead MCC and outstation maintenance operations, driving excellence across our network.

Role Overview
The Team Lead – MCC and Outstations Maintenance is responsible for the control and oversight of all maintenance activities on the SolitAir fleet, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and safety across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day maintenance operations across the SolitAir network.
  • Arrange and ensure the availability of qualified maintenance support at all outstations.
  • Provide technical direction and assume responsibility for maintenance work performed by MCC and third-party providers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication from MCC to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear and prompt communication with the MCC Supervisor and other management personnel regarding maintenance matters.
  • Lead and execute technical projects within the department.
  • Foster positive employee relations and maintain effective communication while enforcing company policies and aviation regulations.
  • Promote and sustain a strong safety culture across all maintenance operations.
  • Review and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and development support.
  • Oversee budgeting, invoicing, and contract negotiation/management with external maintenance suppliers.
  • Conduct regular visits to bases across the network to ensure staff welfare and regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate maintenance delays, engineering safety reports, and non-compliances, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 3 years in a management, supervisory, or lead role within an MCC at a scheduled or non-scheduled operator.
  • Current or previous holder of an EASA Part-66 license with Boeing B737 Series type rating.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience with Boeing B737 Series aircraft.
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA Part-145 regulations.
  • Familiarity with business aspects of maintenance operations, including budgeting, cost control, labor allocation, and inventory management.
  • College degree in Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance Diploma is required.
