Essential skill sets needed for exports documentation :

  1. Good understanding of documentation required for purpose of customs clearance. This will involve knowledge of following :
  2. Preparation/checking of Shipping Bill
  3. Knowledge of various duties and schemes available to shippers and how same is documented in Shipping bill
  4. Knowledge of exports under export bond/LUT
  5. Handling customs query related to shipping documents
  6. Understanding of MSDS/SCOMET documents and its application in exports.

  7. Preparation of COO -both preferrential and non preferrential

  8. Knowledge of shipment documents pertaining to shipping and air transport :

  9. Seeking quote for freight from logistics providers

  10. Finalising L1 and co-ordinating with them for lifting of goods from factory till desptach

  11. Knowledge of various Incoterms and payment term used in international trade and their related documentation aspects.

  12. Familiarisation with courier companies like DHL, Fedex, UPS, etc. and their mode of working. AWB generation for them.
  13. Bank EDPMS related knowledge
  14. Knowledge of import documentation for sample by courier
  15. Knowledge of DGFT related basis works
